Save the Date: The Living Rosary

Sunday, October 22nd

after the 12 pm Mass at

Our Lady of Mercy, Forest Hills

(We will assemble on Juno Street)

Come join our Parish, including the Religious Education and OLMCA students, in Praying the Holy Rosary. 

We will have a life-sized Rosary for everyone to pray together. Luncheon and fellowship to follow in the Parish Hall Come To Honor Our Lady!

Winter Uniform

Please note that starting on Monday, October 16^th, winter uniforms must be worn. Kindly review the uniform policy in the Family Handbook. Some gently worn uniforms are still available in the main office. 

Progress Reports

Progress Reports will be distributed to students in Grades 1-8 on October 19^th. We ask that you sign and return the reports by the following Monday. I would like to remind you that all grades are consistently posted on FACTS and to reach out to your child’s teacher for any questions.

Save the Dates!

There is no school on Monday, October 9^th in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day/Italian Heritage Day. 

A friendly reminder that on Friday, November 10th for Veterans Day school is closed. Monday, November 13th for a Faculty Professional Day for Grades K-8. Monday, November 13^th is a regular day of instruction for 3K and PreK.  

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy will be having a special Dress Down for Breast Cancer Awareness on Friday, October 13^th. Students and staff are encouraged to wear pink. Dress Down is for $2.00.  Additional donations will be accepted.

We are doing this in support of Ms. Revette Hinkson. All proceeds will benefit her walk on Sunday, October 15^th. Together, we can make strides toward a cure! If you would like to learn more about why she walks, please visit:

Last Few Days for The Tablet Fundraiser 

EXCITING NEWS!!!!   Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy is participating in The Tablet’s Catholic School Fundraiser.  

     The Tablet’s Catholic School Fundraiser invites students from Catholic elementary schools to join a contest where they will help sell the Tablet Subscriptions to raise funds for their schools, while earning cash rewards for themselves and their school in the process.  The Tablet and DeSales Media support Catholic Journalism in our diocese and are committed to covering all the local news about our schools and parishes that you can’t get anywhere else.

     The fundraiser begins on Monday, Sept. 25^th and ends on Friday, October 6^th, 2023.  Prizes are as follows:

• Every student will receive a $10.00 reward for every subscription sold after their third order.
• Each subscription will also provide the school with a $10.00 reward per subscription.
• The Top school will receive $3,000.00.  
• The top seller’s (in all the participating schools) rewards are as follows:
  1. 1^st Place - $3,000.00
  2. 2^nd Place - $2,000.00
  3. 3^rd Place - $1,000.00

Your child is bringing home three packets today.

1.  A perforated order form for your subscriptions.
2. A folder to keep track of your subscriptions.
3. An envelope to bring back to school with your orders.  

You can order on-line or by check.  NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED.
