OLM BLOOD DRIVE RESULTS

Last Sunday, OLM's Winter Blood Drive was a great success. With everyone's help, the NYBC was able to collect 90 units of blood, potentially saving 270 lives throughout the metropolitan area.   The drive ran extremely smoothly and we were able to process over 90 potential donors that responded.   Thank you to everyone who donated and attempted to donate. Special thanks to the 8 donors who took the extra time to donate double units of red cells.   The blood drive depends on so many people working behind the scenes: Sandy, our parish secretary, for arranging and showcasing the announcements, Tony, our sacristan, who needed to arrive extra early to open up the parish hall for the equipment arrival, Kenneth and Janet Bravmann who volunteered to help out during the blood drive, our custodial staff for clearing the hall and placing out required tables and chairs, and Fr. Frank who graciously allows the NYBC the use of OLM's parish hall.    Please make a note in your calendar.  OLM’s Spring Blood Drive is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, May 14th.

Financial Reminders from Ms. Leone

As I begin to finalize my training into the new financial secretary I am asking for your kindness and support during my transition here. If you would be so kind as to help me by doing the following:

Payments:

1.  Money order or a Personal Check
Please PRINT the student's name in the memo along with their grade and what it's for (Ex: Jane Smith Grade 5, chocolate sale)

2. Cash
Please put the money in a sealed envelope. Please PRINT the student's full name and grade on the front along with what it is for.

These minor changes will help me immensely as I am learning all of the students and families in the school. I want to ensure that I am accurately entering all payments and paperwork.

I look forward to a successful end of the school year!

As report card time is nearing, all balances need to be in good standing. Please make sure your tuition is up to date. The Chocolate sale, supply fee, and lunch and recess fees should have already been paid. Please check your FACTS regarding your balance.  This will give you a good idea if your child's report card will be held in the office thus, making you unable to meet with your child's teacher on Report card night.

Priority registration for current students and their relatives began on Tuesday, January 17th.  Families must be current on this year’s tuition to register for next year.
