Principal Newsletter 4.19.23

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Easter Basket Lent Drive

I'm thrilled to share that the OLMCA community donated over 1000 items to St. John's Prep Easter Basket Drive!  Our combined efforts helped deliver 764 baskets to children and teens living in three shelters in Queens.  It's because of the generosity of OLMCA that Ms. Befumo was able to include a third shelter in her outreach. A tremendous thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Bourgoine for organizing this incredible effort!

Thank You!

I want to once again thank the parents and families of Ms. Rodriguez’ Pre-K Class and the entire school community for your overwhelming compassion and generosity during Ms. Jennifer’s leave of absence to care for her sister, Tiffany, at this critical time. Thanks to our Marc Jacobs bag raffle, we were able to raise $1450 for Tiffany. Please continue to keep Tiffany and the Clinton family in your thoughts and prayers.

Summer Uniform

Students may begin to wear their summer uniform on Monday, May 15th. Please be sure to refer to the Family Handbook for uniform guidelines and use the time now to ensure that you have all of the necessary components for a complete uniform. We still have ample used uniform items for $5.00 in the office. Please stop by the main office if you would like to check out the selection.
