The Home Academy Association Needs a Vice-President!

Thank you to all the parents that attended our first HAA last Thursday! We were excited to share updates about Deck the Halls and other upcoming events. Now, we need your help! The Home Academy Association is looking for a Vice-President.  Through fund raising, teacher recognition, support, and school improvements, the Executive HAA Board works to promote a connection from home to academy.

If you are interested in joining this dynamic group of parents, please email Mrs. Murphy at [email protected] with a short biography that can be shared with the parent community by Tuesday, October 1st. The virtual election will be held on Tuesday, October 8th. Thank you for your continued support!

                                                                                    Halloween Party

OLMCA’s spooktacular Halloween Party is Friday, October 25th. The Halloween Party for 3K-Grade 4 will be from 4pm-6pm and for Grades 5-8 from 6pm-9pm. The flyer will be sent home next week. We need volunteers and donations to make the event a fun and bewitching day for our students. Please contact Mrs. Lillian Coca at [email protected] for more information and how you can get involved.

Professional Development Reminders

A friendly reminder that on Friday, October 4th is a Professional Day for Grades K-8. It is a regular day of school for 3K and PreK. Tuesday, November 5th (Election Day) is a professional day for all grade levels.

Individual Picture Day

Individual Pictures and 8th Grade Graduate portraits will be held on Tuesday, October 15th. Students may dress up or wear their full school uniform in Grades 3K-Grade 7.

For Graduation portraits, Lifetouch will provide the cap and gown. The boys need to wear a white shirt and tie. The girls must wear a modest V-neck top. If you have any questions, please call the school office at 718-793-2086.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Murphy
