Happy St. Joseph’s Day!
Grades 5-8 IMPORTANT
Please check option C on a regular basis to see if you are missing any work. I have received several assignments that were turned in blank. Make sure you are following all directions before you submit. If I have already graded work and you submit it late it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to email me that it has been submitted.
These assignments count toward the third trimester report card, I expect all students to give as much effort as you would in the classroom.
MRS. HOFFMAN’S PRECEPTS:
- All writing should be checked for spelling/punctuation/grammar mistakes.
- Polish your work to a high shine before you publish!
- Remember writing is rewriting!
- All responses to reading should have details cited from the text which support your answer.
- Do your best and be proud of the work you submit.
Please make sure students in 5-8 are logging into my ELA google classroom and my 7th grade Religion classroom. Daily work is provided, video journals, and ongoing projects. Work should be completed the day it is assigned unless otherwise noted. All directions are posted, if you have any questions do not hesitate to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Stay safe everyone!
Attention 5-8: We are going to be using flipgrid in our classes to help with our novel study discussions.
Parents, if you are uncomfortable with your child showing their face on the video, the app provides “stickers” to cover their face while they provide their responses. NO ONE will be able to see the responses other than myself and the students in the class. Here is a link to a tutorial to get a sense of what it will be like. No need to create codes or anything now, you’ll have access to it in my google classroom.
Links to flipgrid prompts/discussion questions will be on the google classroom page.
