Happy December!!!

Home > Classrooms > Happy December!!!

We are so excited to begin the season of Advent this month and celebrate all things Christmas. I couldn’t be more proud of my students for all they have done this month to give back. They collected change for “A Bright Christmas” which totaled over $100.00 and they have donated so graciously to the “Toys for Tots”. We have been lighting a candle on our Advent Wreath each week and discussing what each candle represents as we get closer to the birth of Jesus. The students have been looking forward to Brunch with Santa, our Ugly Holiday Sweater contest along with performing for their first ever Virtual Christmas Concert. It has been a fun-filled month and we look forward to what the New Year will bring. We would like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy, Healthy New Year!!! Stay Safe:)

First Grade Welcomes October

Posted on October 1, 2020

First Grade is so excited begin a new month: October. We have been busy watching the leaves change colors and fall off the trees as we welcome the season of Fall. There are many exciting events ahead of us including Confirmation for the Class of 2021, Unity Day, All Saints Day Pageant hosted by the second grade class and we are very excited to celebrate Halloween with a fun-filled day of activities while maintaining social distance rules. The month of October we also celebrate the great explorer Christopher Columbus. Students have been reading all about this great explorer and we have been discussing some fun facts we learned about him. Students wrote about different places they would explore in the world if they were an explorer like Christopher Columbus. We look forward to all the celebrations October brings:)
