This month our Unit is Where We Live/Community Helpers.We will talk about our neighborhood, community helpers, the kinds of homes we live in and holidays we celebrate in our families and communities. In social studies we will talk about the jobs of community helpers and what we want to be when we grow up. In math we are learning one to one correspondence with number one through five. In writing we are practicing our name and writing numbers. We are learning about traditions and customs in our classroom.

Monday, Dec 24th- Tuesday, January 1st – NO SCHOOL, Holiday break, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Classes will resume on Wednesday, January 2nd.
Our last unit this year will be Transformation. We will discuss how things change over time. We are getting ready for kindergarten. We will review math concepts such as patterns, adding, sorting, and counting. In literacy and writing we are reviewing letter sounds and writing our name. In science we are watching things all around us change. Our final month will be filled with review concepts, getting ready for our Pre-k step up ceremony and waiting for summer to arrive. To all the Dads, have a Happy Father’s Day!!!!
