Our theme this month is Light . We will discuss various types of light, what shadows are, how light helps us, where we can find light, and also discuss the ways in which we can use light. We will talk about groundhog’s day and shadows. we will discuss President’s Day as well as The Chinese New year. We will create stained glass art, water color art, our own van gogh painting on aluminum foil and use our light table to explore colors.

Our theme this month is Transportation. We will be discussing The types of transportation we use, various modes of transportation, who operates vehicles in our community and how do we sty safe when using transportation. We will build our own vehicles using a cardboard box, create various art projects, conduct sink or float experiments, discuss the community helpers that drive various vehicles and much more. We will start learning how to write our last name and numbers 5-10.

Our theme this month is where we live. You can access the unit plan here : Where we live. Our focus questions for the unit will be where do we live? where do our family members live? Where do people and animals live? and How do people and animals make homes? We will explore the various Holidays celebrated in our classroom and around the world as well. Our elf on the shelf will also pay a visit to our classroom as we explore the various places all over the world.

Our current unit is All About Us, here is link to the unit Allaboutus.
This month we will learn about our school community, our families, classroom and what makes us unique. We will conduct science experiments, learn about patterns and numbers in math, continue to learn how to write our names and numbers, listen to stories, complete a ton of fun art crafts and get ready for Thanksgiving and in social studies we will vote on our class president for election day. Please do not forget to visit the homeroom app as daily reminders and notes will be posted there.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Our current unit is 5 Senses, here is link to the unit 5 Senses.We will learn about our senses, how we use them everyday and we will conduct various experiments. The way in which we approach the unit will be slightly different than the unit found above due to the new health regulations in place. Individualized activities will be in place of the whole group. We will also talk about apples and holidays such as Columbus day and Halloween.
