13 September 2020

It was so wonderful meeting all of you last week and I look forward to our first full week of school. The students have already jumped right into the routine of the classroom and have been excited and eager to try new things. I already see wonderful friendships forming and I know we will have an amazing year together.

Our first unit of study is “Welcome to PreK” in which the students will get to know one another, learn classroom expectations and routines, and learn about themselves, their emotions, and their community.

Please send in…

School Documents

Please return all documents that were sent home on the first day of school.  This includes the Acceptable Use Policy, Extended Care form, Optional Religion form, Photo Release form, Teacher Information Sheet, Emergency Contact form, and Emergency Information Record, and signed OLMCA Handbook Agreement (please only return the last page of the handbook and keep the OLMCA Handbook for your records.

Change of Clothes

If you have not done so already, please send in a change of clothes, an extra mask labeled with your child’s name.

Please also send in about 8 individual wallet sized photos and a 4×6 or 5×7 family photo at your earliest convenience.

Homeroom App

Additionally, please let me know if you would like to be connected to our Homeroom App where I will share photos from our adventures throughout the year. The Homeroom App is a great way to stay connected and have a peek into the classroom. Photos posted to Homeroom are only viewable by the other families in our class.  If you would like to participate in using Homeroom, please send in the permission slip that went home on the first day of school or simply send me an email stating that you give permission for me to share your child’s photo on the app. Once I receive your written consent, I will email you an invitation link to our class Homeroom page.

A Note for Remote PreK Families:

**Our Back to School Night for remote learning PreK students will be on Monday, September 14th at 6pm via Zoom. (This meeting does not apply to hybrid students.)**
