Happy December! After a beautiful tree lighting at OLM Parish on Saturday, the holiday season is in full swing. If you’ve been around the back of the school, a beautiful playground has been installed in the courtyard. It is truly thanks to the outstanding OLMCA community that we have a beautiful new play space for our youngest students. Please be sure to check out the website and Facebook page for pictures!

We will be having our monthly school mass on Friday, December 7 at 8:30a.m. At this special Friday mass, we will have a special ring ceremony for our eighth grade students. We hope that you can join us. Please read on for important updates.

Last week, our Third and Fifth Grade hosted a very special bake sale. Thanks to the wonderful OLMCA community, we were able to raise $1887.30 for an OLMCA family in need. We thank you for your tremendous support. What a beautiful community that we have here. Thank you.

Parent Teacher Conferences (Nursery-8)

Conferences are for students in Grades Nursery-8. Report Cards will be distributed on Thursday, December 6. Conferences will be conducted from 1-3 and 6-8. Please schedule your conference with your child’s homeroom teacher in advance. Please note that accounts must be fully up to date for you to receive your child’s report card. We will be giving courtesy letters to families that are not fully up to date. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office. Hot lunch will be served at 11:00 for all students. There will be Extended Care.

Make-Up Photos

Lifetouch will be back at OLMCA on Wednesday, December 6. If you would like your child to retake the photo, please bring back the original photo package. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

Christmas Toy Drive

Help make a child smile this holiday season! Donate a new, unwrapped toy by Friday, December 14.  Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy will collect the toys and deliver them to St. John’s Bread and Life Soup Kitchen and the Forestdale Center. Your donations will directly benefit the less fortunate and bring the Christmas spirit to children across the city. Thank you to the families that have already donated to this wonderful cause and making this a success.
