Report Card Conferences

Report Cards will be distributed on Thursday, March 22. Conferences will be conducted from 1-3 and 6-8. Please schedule your conference with your child’s homeroom teacher in advance. Please note that accounts must be fully up to date for you to receive your child’s report card. We will be giving courtesy letters to families that are not fully up to date. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office. Students will be dismissed at 12 PM. Hot lunch will be served at 11:00 for all students. There will be Extended Care.

First Reconciliation

Our Second Graders will receive the sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on Saturday, March 10 at 2PM. The students have been preparing through prayer and practice with Mrs. Starace as well as weekly visits from Monsignor McGuirl. We are very much looking forward to celebrating this wonderful occasion with the students and their families. All are welcome to attend and invited to receive the sacrament themselves.

 Inclement Weather Reminder

With the prediction of snow, I wanted to take this opportunity to review the snow closing procedures.

If the New York City Department of Education (Public Schools) closes, all Parishes Schools and Academies within the Diocese of Brooklyn will close.  Please note that if Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy was ever to be closed, or have a delayed opening, we will post the information on the school website (, as well as on CBS News and 1010 WINS.

Due to the impending storm, students may wear their gym uniform or dress down on Wednesday, March 7.
